Myoc Zinc Oxide is a powdered white mineral with an extended history of using it as a sunscreen. When used in sunscreen products, zinc oxide acts as a physical block to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. it can help reduce or prevent sunburn and premature skin aging. Zinc Oxide is the broad spectrum UVA, and UVB reflector accepted for use as a sunblock by the FDA and is permitted in concentrations up to 25%. Zinc oxide powder with eugenol is often used for multiple purposes, even in dentistry. Zinc oxide with calamine powder is often used together to produce a better effect. Zinc oxide is also used in a wide range of cosmetic and personal care products, including make-up, baby lotions, bath soaps, and foot powders. It is used as a colorant, bulking agent, and skin protector in over-the-counter (OTC) drug products. As a sunscreen, zinc oxide can treat a number of skin conditions in products with a concentration up to 40% in ointments of baby diaper rash.
