Carnauba Wax is a natural plant-derived wax obtained from the leaves of the Brazilian Copernicia prunifera palm. Known as the "Queen of Waxes," it is valued for its high melting point, glossy finish, and excellent thickening properties. In cosmetics, Carnauba Wax acts as a natural emulsifier and stabilizer, making it ideal for formulating balms, sticks, and creams. It is 100% cosmetic grade, ensuring safety and purity for skin and personal care products.
Uses
- Used as a thickening and hardening agent in lip balms, salves, and creams
- Provides structure and gloss in lipsticks and mascaras
- Enhances emulsification in lotions, butters, and hair pomades
- Adds a protective barrier in skincare formulations to lock in moisture
How to Use
- Melt Carnauba Wax with oils and butters during the oil phase of your formulation.
- Recommended usage level: 2–25%, depending on the desired hardness and consistency.
- Combine with softer waxes (like beeswax or candelilla wax) to adjust texture.
- Always mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution throughout the product.
