Microcrystalline Wax is a refined, odorless, and flexible wax derived from petroleum. It has a finer crystal structure compared to paraffin wax, offering superior elasticity, adhesion, and oil retention properties. Its creamy texture and high melting point make it ideal for a wide range of cosmetic and personal care formulations. This wax is used to enhance texture, stabilize emulsions, and improve product consistency in balms, creams, salves, and sticks.
Benefits:
- Ideal for thickening cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations
- Used in lip balms, creams, ointments, and hair pomades
- Enhances texture in emulsions and sticks
- Provides barrier protection in skincare products
- Common in candle making and polishes
How to Use:
- Melt Microcrystalline Wax in a double boiler at 65°C–80°C
- Blend with oils and other waxes for desired consistency
- Common usage rate: 1%–25% depending on formulation
- Allow the mixture to cool and solidify in desired packaging
- For external use only. Not for internal consumption.
