Thanaka Powder is a traditional herbal cosmetic derived from the bark of the Limonia acidissima tree, native to Myanmar. Finely ground into a soft, pale yellow powder, it is prized for its cooling properties and natural skincare benefits. Used for centuries in Southeast Asia, Thanaka is rich in antioxidants and has natural antibacterial properties, making it a gentle yet effective addition to skincare formulations, face packs, and masks.
Benefits:
- As a base ingredient in face masks, creams, and soaps
- Ideal for oily and acne-prone skin
- Helps reduce skin inflammation and irritation
- Can be used in DIY beauty formulations for natural sun protection
- Suitable for both men and women in daily skincare
How to Use:
- Face Pack: Mix 1 tsp of Thanaka Powder with rose water, aloe vera gel, or plain water. Apply evenly on the face. Leave for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
- Spot Treatment: Make a paste with a few drops of water and apply to blemishes overnight.
- For Oily Skin: Use it daily in a mild face mask to absorb excess oil and unclog pores.
